My first visit was for a spring ski trip a few years ago, and I immediately fell in love. The mix of small-town charm and endless outdoor adventure in Revy is unmatched, which is why I've returned many times since. Another element of travelling I enjoy is getting to stay in different hotels. I believe that where you stay can really shape the rest of your trip and, luckily, Revelstoke has many amazing hotels. From cozy ski lodges to high-end hotels, there’s something for everyone in this special town. Here’s my pick of the best hotels in Revelstoke.

If you’ve ever stayed at a ski-in ski-out hotel, you know how magical it is. There’s nothing like waking up and walking straight to the gondola. As Revy’s only ski-in ski-out, The Sutton Place is my top pick for the best hotels in Revelstoke.

Walking into the lobby here feels like stepping into a Hallmark movie, with the scent of hot chocolate and coffee and views of snowy mountains. It’s such a cozy retreat from the rugged landscape outside. After a day spent on the slopes, soaking in the hot pools is a must – it’s one of my favourite ways to end the day.

For some added relaxation, visit the Sointula Massage & Day Spa, where you can treat yourself to a variety of treatments and massages.

I’m a big believer that getting a hotel room with a view is always worth it and Basecamp Resorts absolutely delivers. The view alone makes this one of the best hotels in Revelstoke. It’s situated right on the Columbia River, so you can watch the river winding through the mountains from the comfort of your own room – pure magic.

Another thing I appreciate about Basecamp Resorts is the fully equipped kitchen in each unit. While Revelstoke has plenty of great restaurants, sometimes it’s nice to cook for yourself. And if you’ve been skiing and hiking all day, the outdoor hot tubs are the perfect place to soak.

For those travelling with a group or family, Basecamp has spacious suites that can fit up to 14 people in a five-bedroom option, making it a fantastic choice for group trips.

Boulder Mountain Resort is a great option for a more rustic place to stay, and is one of the most unique hotels in Revelstoke. As someone who loves the outdoors, I'm definitely more of a “glamper” than a regular camper. I enjoy having certain amenities, so Boulder Mountain Resort offers a great happy medium.

What I love about this resort is that there are options for all types of travellers, from glamping tents and domes to log cabins and chalets. The forest location is perfect for immersing yourself in the outdoors, yet it’s only an eight-minute drive to get to downtown Revelstoke.

I’ve passed the large sign for the Coast Hillcrest Hotel countless times on road trips through British Columbia, but when I finally saw the hotel I was blown away. Just a five-minute drive outside of Revelstoke, the hotel's hillside location offers breathtaking views of the surrounding valley and mountains.

Check out the hotel restaurant, The Begbie Room, where the spectacular views make it a wonderful spot to grab a drink or a bite to eat, especially in the warmer months when you can sit out on the gorgeous patio. The views of Revelstoke really add to the experience.

I highly recommend trying a Caesar while you’re there. It’s a Canadian classic cocktail and I love how they serve it here, garnished with a jalapeño popper, which adds a delicious twist to an already iconic drink.

If you’re hoping to hit the pubs in downtown Revelstoke or be within walking distance of all the area’s shops and restaurants, The Regent Hotel is the perfect choice. It’s one of the most walkable boutique hotels in Revelstoke.

The hotel dates back to the 1920s and there's plenty of fascinating history within its walls. I always love staying in historic properties and learning about the local stories while I’m there, so I’ll leave the surprise for you to discover. Suffice to say this is one of the best hotels in Revelstoke for history nerds like me.

There’s plenty to explore in downtown Revelstoke, but you don’t have to venture far to visit a local favourite, the River City Pub. It’s one of the few places you can enjoy live music and always makes for a fun night out.

Sometimes you just want a reliable, comfortable hotel with all the basic amenities. I stayed at the Best Western Plus on one of my first visits to Revelstoke, expecting a standard chain hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised with how well-appointed it was.

I even brought my two 60-pound dogs with me and was impressed with how welcoming and friendly the hotel was. The front-desk staff were so excited to say hello to my pups and they even had dog treats for them. It's easily one of the best hotels in Revelstoke for pet owners.

I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which has many hot and cold items to choose from. The outdoor hot tubs were spacious and never felt overcrowded – a major bonus in a cold mountain town.

Courthouse Inn RevelstokeCourthouse Inn RevelstokeRank #7

The newly renovated Courthouse Inn is as cozy as they come. With only 10 rooms, the attention to detail at this boutique inn is impeccable. Each room and common area is adorned with local artwork and antiques, making every corner of the building feel unique.

The standout at the Courthouse Inn is the homemade three course breakfast included with every stay. Guests place their order and preferred breakfast time when they check in and in the morning their table is set and ready. I’m not usually a breakfast person, but you don’t want to miss this.

If you have some spare time and want to learn about the history of Revelstoke, head across the street to the Revelstoke Railway Museum. There you can discover the history of the Canadian Pacific Railway and find out about its impact on the region.

The Ramada by Wyndham is one of the best hotels in Revelstoke for families. I vividly remember the childhood excitement of a family vacation where we stayed in a hotel with a waterslide and the Ramada more than delivers on this front with a large indoor pool, waterslide and spacious hot tub.

Located just off the Trans-Canada Highway, it’s a great spot to stop for the night or use as your home base to explore the rest of Revelstoke or head into Glacier National Park.

The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. The breakfast is one of the better continental options you’ll find in the area. There’s also a spacious fitness centre with a variety of equipment, so you can get a good workout in.

If you’re looking to stay in the heart of the Selkirk and Monashee mountains, where nature is all around you, the Glacier House Resort is an excellent option. Despite its secluded feel, it’s only a 10-minute drive from Revelstoke.

There’s plenty of gorgeous scenery to enjoy here, and if you’re travelling to Revy, hopefully you’re excited to embrace the great outdoors. It’s one of the more remote properties on this list, which makes it one of the best hotels in Revelstoke for a peaceful retreat from busy city life. Plus, the mountain views are unreal.

If you end up checking into this hotel, I highly recommend hiking to Moses Creek Falls. It’s a short 0.8 km (0.5 miles) hike and it’s totally worth it as the trail starts right outside your cabin.

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott RevelstokeFairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott RevelstokeRank #10

If you’re looking for a reliable, comfortable stay, the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott always delivers. It’s easy to find, located just off the Trans-Canada Highway and surrounded by various fast food restaurants – so you never have to worry about going hungry.

What sets this hotel apart is the staff’s level of attentiveness and service. Whether you're looking for dinner recommendations, sightseeing tips, or local knowledge, they’re always ready to help.

Plus, you can’t beat having Dairy Queen right next door for a late-night (or midday) ice cream craving – because ice cream always tastes better after a day of mountain adventuring.
