The arrival of this hotel chain has succeeded in redefining luxury hospitality in the capital. Located on Calle Sevilla just a stone's throw from Puerta del Sol, it quickly positioned itself as one of Madrid's top hotels. Luxury, five-star service, and glamour come together in its fabulous rooms and suites, equipped with king-size beds. If you feel like treating yourself to something special, inquire about the royal suite, an impressive 400 m² room.

Its features a vibrant lobby, and is always buzzing with people enjoying a drink or simply admiring its artworks, such as the huge Kaws sculpture that presides over the space. Gastronomy is another strong point with the likes of Isa, a fabulous cocktail bar that also serves up Asian dishes. On the rooftop, you'll find Dani Brasserie, one of my favourite terraces, headed by one of Spain's most prestigious chefs. Their star dish? The tomate nitro with green gazpacho.

This urban hotel is one of the best in Madrid. Just a few steps from Alonso Martinez, it's one of those hotels that speaks of the city it inhabits, of its history. And it does so from a privileged location—a stately building built in 1913. It strikes a balance between a stately neighbourhood and a modern one, which is both cosmopolitan and appealing. From the windows of its comfortable rooms, I like to look out at the city and the bucolic gardens of the nearby palace.

Its restaurant, Casa Felisa, is one of my favourites in the city. I always reserve a table when I want to try authentic “castiza” cuisine or enjoy a good “cocido madrileño“ (Madrid stew). In the afternoon, the lobby is the perfect place for a glass of champagne while enjoying their pianist and the snacks they offer. The hotel also has a spa with a small indoor pool that remains almost hidden, plus a room where you can book wellness treatments with Indiba technology.

The Barrio de las Letras is one of the most interesting neighbourhoods in Madrid, to get lost among the words of the great literati. There you'll find one of the best hotels in Madrid, located in a restored 1852 palace, just a few minutes' walk from Atocha station. Its 34 rooms are tastefully decorated, and the marble bathrooms add a touch of luxury. The Coolsuites are especially charming, with a private terrace and a hot tub.

On the ground floor, you will find their dining house, Patio de Atocha, where they combine traditional dishes with a modern twist. The “verdinas” beans in codium “pil-pil” with clams and confit artichokes are sure to impress. Another great attraction is the garden terrace, a secret oasis where you can enjoy a brunch or a vermouth by the pool.

The iconic Edificio España, a jewel of modern Madrid architecture, has been restored and transformed into one of the city's top hotels. With over 550 rooms, it is designed for both leisure and business travellers. For those on business, the hotel has several fully equipped conference rooms, ideal for turning any meeting into a resounding success. If you have the opportunity, I recommend booking one of the rooms overlooking Plaza de España. In the morning, you can tuck into a copious buffet breakfast to get the day off to a great start.

You must visit the Edén Gastrobar, where a delicious menu of tapas with Iberian ham, “patatas bravas,” and croquettes awaits you. On the rooftop, the 360º Rooftop Bar is the perfect place to take in spectacular views of the Royal Palace and the Temple of Debod. Don't forget about the famous glass walkway on the 27th floor, although those with vertigo might want to give it a miss!

Located on the prestigious Paseo de la Castellana, this hotel is a symbol of luxury and sophistication and is rated as one of the best in Madrid. This icon has been renovated to combine classic elegance with exquisite contemporary design. This style is reflected in the rooms and common areas, with luxury materials and beds that feel like an embrace.

The hotel has several restaurants. Las Brasas de Castellana specialises in grilled products and Amós, by a renowned Spanish chef, offers the best of the Cantabrian Sea in the city. I love their anchovies with oil and butter and their veal sandwich with peppers. You can also have a drink at Tarde.O, which livens up in the afternoons and fills with tourists and locals connecting with the city. Its outdoor terrace is versatile: in winter, they set up an ice rink, while in summer, they screen outdoor movies.

If you're looking for a hotel in the heart of Madrid, on one of the city's most important thoroughfares, this is your best option. This hotel stands out as one of the best in Madrid, with simple, elegant rooms that are ideal for resting after a day exploring this fascinating city. Additionally, they offer a pillow menu in each room, ensuring optimal rest.

The hotel itself is already impressive, but the real magic happens at the top at Picalagartos Sky Bar. In my opinion, its terrace offers the best panoramic views of the city, with a 360º view that encompasses beautiful sunsets and the majestic Telefónica building. What's more, there's a garden where you can enjoy cocktails, such as the Sexy and Famous. The restaurant, on the other hand, serves rice dishes for lunch, as well as exquisite plates like mussels with smoked butter, truffled potatoes, and huevos rotos (literally broken eggs) with red prawns.

All under one roof: that's how this completely Madrilenian hotel, one of the best and most comprehensive in the capital, is defined. The initial impact strikes when you see its spiral staircase, one of the most photographed in the city. The rest will continue to draw you in, as it offers a cosmopolitan essence like few others. The rooms, although minimalist, include everything necessary for a comfortable rest.

The lobby bar offers an experience reminiscent of a New York apartment, with its pool table and a candlelit atmosphere. The Punch Room bar is ideal for sipping a drink in tranquillity. Additionally, the gastronomic offer is second-to-none.

It features two spaces: a Spanish restaurant and a Peruvian one located on the rooftop, under a ceiling of vegetation and adorned with beautiful crystal lamps. I recommend trying the excellent pisco sours. And also, make sure to save time to experience their rooftop pool.

This hotel, one of the best in Madrid, is designed for hedonists looking for accommodation on the elegant and bustling Calle Serrano. Within its walls, sophistication and modernity are combined with a touch of fun.

Its suites, equipped with a very photogenic freestanding bathtub, are a true dream. Additionally, if you're travelling with children, they'll set up a teepee for them to have fun. On the ground floor, you'll find the Beldon wellness space and even a clandestine bowling alley.

The rooftop, Picos Pardos Sky Lounge, is one of the city's most coveted. From there, you can enjoy spectacular views of the Salamanca neighbouurhood. Personally, I love going there with friends whenever I can. The rooftop features an emerald-coloured pool and Balinese daybeds, offering a menu of travel-inspired cuisine. Don't miss the shrimp tacos and the Vietnamese rolls with confit duck and shiso leaf.

Malasaña is one of the most fun areas, full of cafes, bars, and nightlife. And if you want to stay there, it's home to one of the best hotels in Madrid that's hard to beat. Open since 2002, thanks to the Kikekeller studio, it has a style that screams home and a team who will make you feel like part of the family. I recommend the attic room with a terrace, which features artisanal furniture and hammocks, as well as kits for practising yoga.

The plant-filled lobby also houses 7i, a contemporary art gallery. So, while you check-in, you can take a look at their collection. There are more things that make it unique, like 7 Kitchen & Bar, a restaurant focussing on product cuisine and its cocktail proposal with an exclusive line of in-house distilled spirits infused with botanicals. Their Moscow Mule is my favourite.

If you're into the performing arts, this hotel is one of the best in Madrid. The building that houses the Albéniz Theatre has been transformed into the first hotel by the giant Universal Music, and it has done so exceptionally. It has managed to recover the historical heritage and combine it with luxury hospitality in a 5-star establishment, with a vibrant cultural life.

Its 130 rooms are spacious and stylish, while the atmosphere on their doorstep is exciting. In Nota Alfa, located on the rooftop and decorated with murals of great singers, you can enjoy cocktails and tapas by a pool overlooking central Madrid.

I recommend trying the Saturday and Sunday brunch, especially the delectable salmon bagel. The hotel's collaboration with the theatre offers privileged access to its shows, from performances to classic musical theatre productions.
