Pros (+) Most of the staff were friendly and responsible. Food in restaurant was decent--coffee better than Cafe du Monde! The room was not in tip-top shape ..It could use some freshening.
Pros (+) The location was awesome, we were able to walk to anywhere in the French Quarter with no problem. The security staff were very nice.
Cons (-) I did not like was how the bathroom in our room did not have a proper door. The door was a closet-stlye door with slats. Also, during our stay there was a heavy rainstorm that crippled the hotel staff with flooding in the lobby area and restaurant. We wanted breakfast, but the staff seemed quite flustered and did not want to seat us in the restaurant, even though the rain had ended.

There was trash from the previous occupants laying around the bed. Pros (+) We came to town to celebrate for my birthday and upon check in we were told we were receiving a free upgrade to a mini suite. The room was nice, the staff was helpful. I'd stay here again.
Cons (-) It seemed a theme throughout New Orleans that the entire city is getting a face lift, our hotel included. Didn't ruin my stay or really bug me all that much, but there were people painting right outside our window early in the morning
